BlackEmerge for Obama in '08

BlackEmerge proudly supports Barack Obama for President in '08!  Meet the Candidate

Obama embodies the very spirit that BlackEmerge.com was founded on.  He is living proof that our lives do not have to be defined by the perceptions that have consumed many families in our communities.

We invite you to get to know Barack Obama and what he stands for.  Research his policies, ask questions and decide for yourself if he represents the needs of you and your family.

For your convenience, we've gathered a collection of videos and information to support our endorsement of Barack Obama for President in 2008.  If you're ready for change, click here

A Public Service Announcement from OneMilwaukee.org
Like many cities its size, Milwaukee is facing a critical juncture in its battle to control gun violence in the city's most impoverished areas. The good news is that non-fatal shootings declined in 2007 by 22%. The bad news is the number of homicides in Milwaukee continues to hover around 100 while homicides remain the leading cause of death among 15 to 24-year-old males in Milwaukee.
